The Roman Box

A box has been found, in a field, by a farmer. It is ornately carved and has two handles, but the farmer cannot seem to open it. What could it be? What could be inside it?

An archaeologist was called. He completed a survey and found that their used to be a Roman Villa on the land. An expert in Roman archaeology was asked to help and she knew how to open the box ...

We jumped back in time, to the point where the box was buried.

A lady and her extended family in their villa, protected by their one guard. Her husband is a general in the Roman army and her eldest son is a soldier.
They are fearful because they do not know what is happening. There is a terrible noise outside the villa. They are afraid of the Iceni people.

The lady buries her box with some of the family treasures. Outside she can hear the battle cry, 'We want revenge'.

The guard does his best to protect the family.

Some of the Iceni want to burn the villa for revenge. Some do not want to, because there are women and children inside. What would you do?
