Saving our superhero!

Our team challenge was to be able to save our superhero from the Burj Khalifa. We had to decide how we could get them down quickly and safely. Someone thought a zipline was a good idea, so then we had to decide whether it was quicker to have the zipline higher or lower on the building. We made predictions, then decided how we would prove them. There was some fantastic teamwork!

Our transporters

After planning, designing and creating, we had to test out our transporters. They had to pull our planes at least 3 metres. We were all successful, though some of the moving parts were more effective than others.

Teamwork, focus and collaborative decision-making.

Creative inventors

After the planning stage was time for design and creation. We had 140 Faraday points to spend in the shop, which we had to use wisely. Some things were free to use, like hot glue guns and saws. If we wanted expert advice, we had to pay!

Faraday apprentices

After planning, we became apprentices and had the job of getting our motors to work, for the transporter.

Faraday STEM challenge

Today we have participated in a STEM challenge, to design an aeroplane and transporter. The first thing we needed to do was work together to plan our ideas and think about how we will create the prototypes.
