Teeth investigation

We have been learning about our teeth, how to look after them and tooth decay. We investigated what might happen if we left those drinks on our teeth overnight, without brushing them. We placed different liquids onto a hard-boiled egg (because its hard but thin outer shell is like the plaque on our teeth) and left them, to see what would happen.

Look what fizzy drink does to your teeth! Coffee stained the egg too.

We then used a toothbrush and some toothpaste to see if we could brush the stains off the eggshell. It looked a lot cleaner afterwards.
